About Us

    Jake Skeen

    Founder/Owner/Guide

My wife, my two boys, and I live in Cody Wyoming. We love spending time outside in the mountains, and in the desert southwest. Beartooth Rides and Guides has been a dream of mine for many years. As a full time guide I enjoy all of the seasons in the west. I have been a river guide on many of the rivers in the west for over 20 years. I spend most of my summer months guiding on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. I then transition into hunting season here in Northwest Wyoming. When December rolls around I start to play in the snow. As a family we love to ski. The boys love playing in the snow and as they get older and have more interest I have been getting them out on snowmobiles. I grew up snowmobiling with my dad. I bought my own first sled when I was 18 years old. My love for snowmobiling has always been deep. There is something to be said about floating through snow and covering country in minutes that would take you hours or days on a horse or skis. My hope for Beartooth Rides and Guides is to provide a way for others to come out and enjoy the Beartooth Mountains in a fun and safe way. And also learning new skills that will allow them to continue to grow their skills on the snow and and become more informed advocates for our multi-use public lands.

Please send me a message or call me with any questions. I look forward to spending time with you on the mountain.
